Scuba Diving in autumn

Less colorful but perhaps even more atmospheric – scuba diving in autumn! Air temperature of ~2 degrees Celsius and water temperatures of 13 degrees makes it smoking.

Scuba Diving in the Echinger Weiher (Munich, Germany)

What can make a small lake with a maximum depth of 8 meters, a length of little over 200 Meters and a width of 100 meters so attractive for scuba divers?

Well, theĀ Echinger WeiherĀ is a (well known) and very beautiful placeĀ for scuba divers in the north of Munich, Germany. Furthermore you have to do a reservation and the water is always cold – even in hottest summer time rarely above 13Ā° Celcius – but it is worth it!

More than 1000 lakes in this area and around 70 lakes around the “Feldberger Seenlandschaft” – we’ve visited just three of them but now we’re fans

 

Deepest man made lake in southwest of Germany – Matschelsee

It is both – famous and notorious. One of the deepest man made lake in the southwest of Germany. Very often it is offering very good visibility which makes it a well known diving site not only in this region. And especially technical divers like it: Matschelsee. Unfortunately this lake is highly frequented by scuba divers – und thus is is very useful that you have to sign in from the following web site to get a permission to do so: Tauchclub Offenburg.

Scuba Diving in the Black Forest, Germany. In the video “Tauchen in der Nagoldtalsperre – … und es geht doch!!” we prove that it is possible to dive there.

This was our first thought when we submerged in the Nagoldtalsperre- “… it can be done!”. In 10 years of scuba diving we tried it multiple times but every time we wanted to do it never again. This was because of the bad visibility in this reservoir in the middle of theĀ Black Forest. But this time it was different…
